Now leaving…

We are now leaving Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

This was our first visit and was on my ‘want to,’ visit list. Can’t say it was on my bucket list, but that’s good right?

Loved…..,North Myrtle Beach, probably would have loved the board walk but just too crowded for this trip.

Our favorite restaurant was Sticky Fingers. Best food, best service, hands down.

Our best highlight? Just the opportunity to spend time with our eldest son Donald, and his wife Wendy! We had a blast!

The guys enjoyed golfing, and fishing! Wendy and I loved Tanger Outlets and I’m not going to lie, we loved the Goodwill Centers here! Better than shopping consignment! Lots of name brands!

We are now leaving, Myrtle Beach, with lots of good memories.

Thank you Wolverine Brass for use of your 2 bedroom condo. It was beautiful and peaceful.

God is Fierce

I prayed with someone recently who had a type of nerve damage in their legs and feet. It came upon him after a recent surgery. As I was praying, God revealed to me that this attack came upon him while he was under anesthesia.

God don’t like that! He gets wroth about a enemy that illegally attacks us unaware!

The proof of this is in Psalms 18. I could just eat on this scripture for days, weeks, maybe months! The whole Psalm!

In this scripture, I hear the Lion of Judah’s roar! I believe when God roars, it is heard in heaven, on earth, and yes, under the earth!

This psalm gives us a example of a fiercely, jealous God. I feel I should stop right here , and explain that there is a good jealousy.

Exodus 34:14 For thou shall worship no other God: for the Lord, whose name is jealous, is a jealous God.

I once heard a famous person say that after visiting a Christian church and hearing God was a jealous God , she could no longer align with a God who was jealous.

What must be understood is that there is a biblical, legitimate jealously.

For example, if you try to get between me and my husband, I will not take it lightly. I will take you out!

Also you don’t get between a mama and her child.

Years ago I saw a good example of this while I was at Crystal Lake, (for you in South Georgia, you know where that was, and how long ago.)

There was a dock out in the middle part of lake, where the water was over your head. Many of the older kids would swim out and jump in. One day, some of the older ones allowed their younger cousin to go with them. He couldn’t swim that great, all he could do was ‘dog paddle.’

I was laying in the sun, next to his mama bear. She was keeping her eyes on him, when some unknown person pushed him off the dock. She was smoking a cigarette at the time and she immediately hit that water stroking, cigarette and all!

I watched as she reached her son in no…time at all . She was by him in minutes!

When I saw he was okay, I laughed at her fierceness! I laughed til I cried when I saw her come up out of the water, because that cigarette was still smoking from her mouth!

Years later I read this passage in Psalms 18: 7-8 of the action God took when Gods people called out to him in distress.

7-8: Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundation also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth. There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

I couldn’t help but remember that mama. Now, granted he was not smoking a cigarette, but I think you get the picture.

I am talking about the fierceness of God to help us understand the Kingly anointing that is released as we operate in our priestly anointing on earth.

No matter what your area of ministry is, whether you are serving as a minister, entrepreneur, soldier, politics, etc, you are as a Christian, operating as the Royal Priesthood.

That is powerful, but we also need to walk in our kingly anointing.

The kingly anointing is not just for leaders. It’s for the corporate body of Christ! It’s for victory in everyday life.

We must rule and reign, and allow the roar of the Lion of Judah, to live in us and through us.

It’s time to live under the full nature of God! It’s time that be jealous of the things of God!

Don’t leave it up to someone else! Decree and declare victory! As it is in heaven so it is on the earth!

I am asking God to help me align scripturally and fully with Jesus for this time! I want to be as the sons of Issachar, who knew their time and season.

I want to walk in my legacy!

Kingdom Life

Righteousness, Peace and Joy

Romans 14:17 -19 The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy is in the Holy Ghost. For he who is in these things is acceptable to God and approved of men. Let us follow then after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith we may edify one another.

Righteousness, peace and joy! This is the fruit we will bear after receiving salvation and in that order through the Holy Ghost.

This order is accepted by God and approved by man. Maintaining this order will bring favor with God and favor with man.

Righteousness first!

In 2 Corinthians 5:21 He made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

I read the phrase (might be made the righteousness) of God as in our area of choice. We are given freedom always to choose.

When we choose by faith to accept his atoning work and become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, we are blessed beyond measure. We are in a new state of relationship with God and we have new life to enjoy.

It is our responsibility to maintain our relationship with God through Christ and with help from the Holy Spirit. We do that by taking hold of every provision given through our redemption. No one can take your salvation, it’s a eternal gift received by faith.

You must remember that upon your profession of faith, You are given new life.

Changes will be made in you and through you. You can’t live this new life through old worldly ways. You must align with and be willing to enforce the new life change.

I’m going to write about peace and joy in my next post! I’m so excited that God is showing me through new eyes how to maintain the fruit in my life of righteousness, peace and joy!

I made a decision to not be passive. I’m the gardener in my life and I’m going to bear fruit!

I hope you do the same! It’s not really a option, if we want to be in the order of God. I pray eyes are opened to the truth of the word of God.

We need to follow His order.

Our 1St RV Maps Project

Our first RV Maps Project was great! Met some wonderful people in Ringgold, Louisiana!

We were blessed to hear Ed Kepplinger preach one Sunday and then I was honored to bring the message on the next Sunday!

Of course we voluntered during the week. We😜(well,A.B)redid the bathroom in parsonage, installing a shower, moving and resetting toilet. We did lots of painting.(Carol)
We really enjoyed working with Jim and Jackie Myers, Ed & Glenda Kepplinger.
Can’t leave out Tommy & Diane Hobson, who came up to Ringgold, even though he is recovering from a procedure.
We also spent the night in ‘Hobsonville,’ bought some cool things from the Thrift Shop, visited the church, and ate some great shrimp(Carol) and crawfish (AB)
We met Pastor Martha Grigg, her daughter Cindy, and her husband Greg at the RV Convention in October. We were inspired by the presentation asking for help as their church that had been destroyed by a tornado. I believe we made life long friends with this family, even met many of Martha’s family and helped them celebrate her birthday!
We love retirement! Love living the Blessed Life.

“Leadership is about make others better as a result of your presence and making sure that impact last in your absence.”

I wish I had said that! It is actually a inspiring quote I pulled from a book I’m currently reading, ‘Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead,’ by Sheryl Sandburg.

This quote made me think about my relationships, places I’ve visited, job I’ve had, ministries I’ve lead.

As a result of my presence will I leave things better than before? Will there be a lasting impact after I leave?

In order to make that happen I have to be aware of my surroundings. I have to intentionally be committed to excellence. I have to impart to others before I depart.

In coaching others, I’ve been known to say, ” Even ordinary ability when focused excels. Imagine what we could do if we were extra-ordinary!”

If we just made ordinary ability work for us, we would be the smartest one in the room. Imagine what you could do if you supernaturally inspired! You could change the atmosphere.

You could make things better! You could make sure your impact lasted. You would be a example of good leadership.

How are we supernaturally inspired?Through belief in Jesus Christ.

We believe by faith that he is the son of God. We believe he died a sacrificial death to redeem us. We believe he rose again and is now seated on the right hand side of God and we are seated with him.

We are super-natural. To me that means we are Spirit led people. Our natural flesh submits to the Spirit of the Living God. Holy Spirit governs the lives of all who worship God in Spirit and in truth.

When that transformation takes place, when we surrender to God, we are given dominion and authority to regulate our lives, not the lives of other.

We will become true followers of Jesus Christ. In that, we can’t help but to be leaders in the earth. We can’t help but change the atmosphere as a result of our presence. We will impact others for the greater good.

Loud and Clear

There is an old saying, ” What you do is so loud, I can’t hear what you say. ”

That is a great reminder. Actions speak louder than words.

This is not meant to be negative toward anyone, because actions can be misread. Facial expressions can be misjudged. It’s meant to help us think about who we are and what we are demonstrating to others.

My example is Jesus. Jesus is the word of God in the flesh. Just one of the things that makes that fact meaningful to me, is that I can read scripture and even if he didn’t say a word, the truth would still be evident.

Just reading his actions is enough for me to believe and follow.

He prayed to his father and valued his word and relationship. Fought the devil in the wilderness and came out victorious. He went about doing good. He healed people. He fed people. He taught people. He wept with people. He treated people as valuable. He respected his elders. When the time came, he gave his life on a old rugged cross. He never quit loving God and man. He rose again and was seen by those who knew him. He showed himself alive.

All this in action not words! Who he is speaks loud and clear!

It might be a great exercise this week to let your actions speak for you! Just a thought!

It might be fun to just sit back and observe. Let people’s action show you who they are!

Better yet, let your actions speak for you. For good or bad, let the truth be what it is.

Finally, if your actions falsely represent your heart, then make a change. Be brave! Be you!

If you do this, please click on my link and share your results on my blog. I would love to hear about it!
